Since I have a problem with my eye and can't look at my computer screen for too longand can't paint (again) I needed to do something else and decided on trying to do some youtube tutorials on how to do or make horse related stuff. So the first tutorial I made is on how to make a rhinestone browband, something I have been getting A LOT of messages about the past few years after I posted something about it on another website a long time ago. This style is very popular in the Netherlands and probably other parts of europe too :) .

But before I go and make other tutorials I would like some feedback on the one I already made.
What do you prefer? Spoken or text explanation, or both (keep in mind my voice is kind of awful and English isn't my native language so it will come with a horrible dutch accent :giggle: ) For now I just added some youtube music but I don't really like that, will look for some other solution for that if I keep the text explanation (any suggestions?)
Is the explanation understandable or do I need to simplify it even more?
Are there other things you would like to see different?

And what kind of tutorials would you be interested in?
So far I was thinking things like decoration and making tack (simple things that you wouldn't need to buy a lot of (expensive) materials and tools for, so not complete leather bridles for example), different ways to braid mane and tail or other grooming stuff, and maybe even some training tips (if my health wasn't so bad I still would have been a full-time horsetrainer ;) ) or reviews on my favorite products. Does that sound like something you would want to see or are there other things you really would like to see or learn?

Video tutorials on painting I was working on too but that will have to wait until I get my eye surgery and am fully recovered so this will take at least a few months.

Please let me know what you think and if you like this idea :D .

Hello Deborah,

Last november, I stumbled upon one of your fantastic creations on Bokt.nl. Impressed I was, I asked you to make a portrait of my mare. You agreed and I send the confirmation to info@dejart.nl and paid € 50 advance. Rapidly you send me a raw sketch, which I already loved. You called the portrait 'Sneeuwportret'. Since there was a waiting list, I waited patiently for your message that it was my turn.

January 2012, I send you an e-mail, curious if you were already working on my portrait. You replied that you were unfortunately unable to work on portraits at that time. You were prepared to return my money or I could keep waiting. Because I still think your work is great, I trusted that you keep your word. In reply you promised to send me an update within a week.

Today it's april and I'm still waiting for an update. Since you don't react on my e-mails an personal messages there's nothing left for me than to leave a comment here.

I regret this, because I understand that you are suffering some physical problems. Still I think the least you could do is send me an e-mail about that.

I expect to hear from you within 3 days via e-mail that you returned my money. Again, I regret to take this action an I still think your work is awesome. If you don't reply, I'll have to take the next step. I assume that will not be nessecary.

Sincerely,
Matty
