My forest - work in progress

1. sketch 2. lines
3. colours 4. starting the details (tried not to add too much white this time but got to have the white belly )
5. added shadows high lights and started detailing the legs. 6. more colours and details added

7. the maned weren't working for me so removed them, not sure yet what to do with them, added more light to the wings 8. added more detailing to the background

it's starting to look like something



After "The Pond" [link] and my "Lodicorn" [link] I felt like needing a third painting along the same lines so you can hang them together, all magical creatures in a pretty forest.
So this piece will have to fit with those (on the left, pond in the middle, lodicorn on the right).

Thought some people might like to follow the progress 'live'.
I will try to update regularly but since my health is still very bad and have to finish some other work too, I'm not sure if I can have it done soon. So please don't ask for updates, they will come .
